Our extra virgin olive oil production follows strict organic farming methods, which imply the total absence of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. In agreement with the Regulation (EEC) n. 2092/91, alternative methods like eco-traps or liquid traps are used for controlling the olive fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae) and Bacillus thuringiensis-based insecticides for the defence from tignola and Margaronia unionalis attacks, as well as synthetic fibers on the tree trunks for the capture of the Otiorhynchus cribricollis.
